1. Our Commitment
At Zimbi, we aim to dispatch orders as quickly and safely as possible while complying with all applicable South African legislation governing the transport of firearms and other regulated products.
2. Delivery Areas
We currently deliver throughout South Africa.
Should a delivery location fall outside the service area of our courier partners, we will contact you to discuss the available options before processing your order.
3. Free Standard Shipping
We offer FREE standard shipping on qualifying orders with a value of R3,500 or more.
Free shipping applies only where:
- the total order value is R3,500 or more;
- the order qualifies as a standard parcel;
- the delivery address is within our standard delivery network.
A standard parcel generally refers to products that can be safely packaged and transported using conventional courier services.
4. Oversized or Heavy Items
Certain products may be classified as oversized, unusually heavy or difficult to transport.
Examples include (but are not limited to):
- firearm safes;
- large steel cabinets;
- exceptionally long products;
- bulky equipment;
- unusually heavy orders.
These products may require specialised transport.
Where this applies, we will contact you with a delivery quotation before confirming your order.
Free shipping does not apply to oversized or specialised freight.
5. Firearms and Controlled Products
Certain products sold by Zimbi are regulated under South African law.
These include, but are not limited to:
- firearms;
- ammunition;
- propellants;
- primers;
- other products requiring controlled transport.
These products cannot be transported using standard courier services.
They must be shipped through a licensed courier authorised to transport regulated goods.
The cost of this specialised delivery is additional and will be quoted to you during the order confirmation process.
Delivery charges for controlled products are therefore not included in our free shipping offer.
6. Delivery Charges
Where shipping charges apply, they are calculated based on factors including:
- destination;
- parcel size;
- parcel weight;
- courier requirements;
- special handling requirements.
If additional delivery charges are required, we will advise you before your order is confirmed.
7. Dispatch Times
Most in-stock items are dispatched as soon as reasonably possible after:
- payment has been confirmed (where applicable);
- stock availability has been confirmed; and
- all legal requirements have been satisfied.
Dispatch times may vary depending on supplier availability and regulatory requirements.

Factors outside our control may affect delivery, including:

- courier delays;
- public holidays;
- supplier delays;
- remote delivery locations;
- regulatory verification.
We appreciate your patience should delays occur.
9. Delivery Inspection
Please inspect your parcel upon delivery.
If the packaging appears damaged, please notify the courier immediately and contact Zimbi as soon as possible.
10. Collection from Our Store
Customers may choose to collect qualifying orders from our Pretoria store where available.
Collection of regulated products remains subject to all applicable legal requirements and verification procedures.
11. Incorrect Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
Additional courier charges resulting from incorrect addresses, failed deliveries or redirected shipments may be payable by the customer.
12. Risk and Ownership
Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon lawful delivery or collection.
Ownership remains subject to full payment where applicable.
