Croft Barker’s new book is without question the best offering available to the newcomer and seasoned pro alike. Beginning with the history and rules, Croft carefully and completely discusses the rifles, sights, cartridge selection, bullets, loading, cleaning, equipment, shooting techniques, and spotting. The chapter on spotting is excellent as this most important part of the silhouette game is often overlooked or taken for granted. The book is well written in an easygoing style that combines the basic data with a few anecdotes along the way, making the book a pleasure to read and a fountain of useful information. 162 pages. Illustrated.
