Description
Bwana Babu
This book is about a hunter who almost accidentally ends up in Africa the first time (he’s talked into it by his quail hunting guide from Florida who becomes a PH in Africa during the off season for quail in Florida). Each chapter describes a trip to Africa over about 8 or 9 years, so there are roughly that many chapters. The author is a retired cardiologist and is a good writer, but not a great writer. The chapters are interesting but not engrossing and as one gets further into the book, the stories and the characters become repetitive. And they sure have a lot of trouble with their firearms and ammo!
